Wooden figure combining human and pig characteristics. The figure stands on three feet and has a head of flattened lenticular section. The face is triangular on both sides and the front two feet combine arm like characteristics with those of a pigs front legs. The figure has pig like ears and the rear foot behind terminates in a broadened shoulder blade like form with a conical projection in its centre. The entire surface was formerly painted and remnants of sunburst spiral and spotted decoration can still be seen in faded white, black and orange paint.
Label: Old blue exhibition label "Carved Figure New Hebrides".
