Sword, katana, with decorated wrist guard (tsuba) which is signed and decorated with a Chinese landscape, and leather scabbard embossed with cloud patterns. Copper alloy fittings on the hilt. Horn on the scabbard. End of the scabbard has a flat fitting of the style normally worn at the Shogun's court. Rayskin covered hilt, textile bindings .Gilt menuki in the form of peonies. Blade signed 'Kaneshige, Lord of Izumi province.' Not dated.
