Small rectangular piece of net work in tightly woven coconut fibre. The original accession register states that this is a piece of coconut fibre armour, but it is too light for this and appears not to follow the pattern or scale of any particular piece of Kiribati armour. It seems more likely that this piece is a sampler of coconut work or part of a bag.
Label: A small oval label with the object number on was found with the object.
