bread tally

A baker's tally made of a piece of wood split in half down almost the full length. One end of the tally has been carved away to create three flat surfaces, on each of which something is written, now illegible. At the join in the split between the halves of wood there are notches on either side, three on one side and ten on the other. There is a piece of thread wrapped around the two halves of wood.

An original label with the object number 99.65 is stuck to the object. There is also a cream rectangular label with the object.
