Senior monks can be seen in the photograph dressed in yellow cloaks. A centipede of people have rolled up the thangka (painting on cotton or silk). The thangka was attached to the top of the thangka wall and unrolled and was open for two or three hours.

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
