One invitation addressed to the Master of the Carpenters’ Company to attend, together with Mr. Horniman, a “Welcome Home” dinner in honour of Sir Somers Vine’s return from his world travels connected to the Imperial Institute. The location of the dinner was announced as the Whitehall Rooms of the Hotel Metropole, on Wednesday the 11th of February 1891, at 7.30 pm.
