One newspaper announcement that, on the Thursday the 6th of July (the wedding day of Duke of York and Princess May), the Horniman Museum was going to be open free from 2 pm to 9 pm, as the event was going to be observed as a general holiday. The Museum grounds were going to be illuminated throughout the evening, from 8.30 to 10.30.
