A press cutting describing the annual conversazione in the Lordship-lane Public Hall. There were about 130 members and friends in attendance with Mr. T. F. Franklin, F.S.I (president), reading the annual report, and addressing the company. A programme of music played with a lantern exhibition given by Messrs. C. Proctor, and W. Groves. Some of the members exhibited a variety of scientific and literary objects with the microscope being both interesting and amusing. The excerpt concludes with the note that at current there are 135 members, but it is hoped that this number will increase during the coming year.
