Letters, postcards and accompanying notes exchanged Brian Manton-Myatt, Boosey & Hawkes Chief Woodwind Tuner, and Eric McGavin. Letters contain discussion of work at the Boosey and Hawkes factory in Edgware and of clarinet playing and performances by various symphony orchestras. Item 588 is a 3 page typed report titled 'Edinburgh Festival' detailing the help provided by Manton-Myatt's during the festival and outlining the improvements that could be made for future Boosey and Hawkes' displays and concerts at the festival. Items 591 and 592 are a letter dated 30th September 1962 and signed typed notes from Manton-Myatt containing a diary of his observations at the Edinburgh Festival representing Boosey and Hawkes.
Note: Letter 1027 dated 20th December 1965 was found elsewhere in loose documents in the McGavin collection and was added to this file.
