Vinyl record containing audio recordings from rehearsals of the British Youth Wind Orchestra in 1971 and published by Boosey & Hawkes Ltd. Pieces played are; Henry Purcell's 'Air and March', Nicholas Rimsky-Korsakov's 'Dubinushka' and Percy Aldridge Grainger's 'Children's March: over the hills and far away'.
The recording was made after the death of Eric McGavin (founder of the British Youth Wind Orchestra). The proceeds from sales of the record were donated to The Eric McGavin Memorial Trust which was created to help finance the Youth Orchestra's future work.
