Handwritten notes and typescripts assembled by Eric McGavin and Jack Brymer in preparation for a publication on the clarinet. Item 654 is a note written to McGavin from Brymer asking for feedback on a draft. The file also contains rough diagrams of types of clarinet, timelines charting the history of clarinet making, chapter outlines and later drafts of the manuscript. The working title of the book was 'The Clarinet and its Music'. This research may have provided the groundwork for Brymer's book 'Clarinet'.
