The orchestra appearing in the film is the London Symphony Orchestra, and it is conducted by Dr. Malcolm Sargent, who also introduces the film and speaks the commentary.
The music for the film has been specially written by the famous composer, Benjamin Britten, who has taken a theme by Henry Purcell, and has written Variations and a Fugue on it.
“Instruments of the Orchestra” was directed by Muir Mathieson.
