One of two December 1973 issues of Recorder and Music owned by Miles Tomalin. The issue contains an article by Miles Tomalin titled 'Early Days' describing his early working relationship with Arnold Dolmetsch and teaching school children to play recorder. The article also features a black and white photograph of Tomalin and his wife talking with J.M. Thomson. The journal contains two enclosures: a newspaper clipping from the Haslemere Herald (1952) and a typed page titled 'References to the Tomalins in 'Dolmetsch: the man and his work' by Margaret Campbell (Hamish Hamilton 1975)'.
