Flaviol, boxwood duct flute, with five fingerholes and two thumbholes.

Purchased with a tiple, a shawm of Catalonia (Museum number M1.6.53/1) from Anthony Baines. The tiple and flaviol are some of the wind instruments in the traditional cobla ensemble that accompanies the sardana, the national dance of Catalonia.
