Dulcimer with case. 24 triple courses of wire strings. Two gilt wood bridges, each surmounted by a metal rod bearing the strings. Two recessed roses surrounded by sprays of painted flowers. The edges of the pine soundboard are trimmed with gilt mouldings. The sides are painted turquoise blue with gilt chinoiseries. Oak case, the inside painted blue and decorated with cut-out prints coloured and stuck onto the wood. The illustrations are reminiscent of the "Ladies' Amusement".
