Thirteen-keyed clarinet in high E-flat. Index card reads: Thirteen white metal keys, round, varying in design, mounted on pillars. Flapper F/C key: simple F sharp/C sharp: crossover throat register. G sharp for prefinger. Cocus; white metal mounts varying in design. Carl Boose died in 1869, but this clarinet seems to be of a later date. The name of Distin & Co. was adandoned in 1874 in favour of Boosey & Co.
