Oval paper label: 'Metzler & Co., Manufacturers, 35, 37 and 38 Marlborough St, London W.' 6 ¼" diameter flat mahogany ends, simple frets, pine backing. 48 keys: 24 each side. Ivory with black accidentals. Stamped. Left-hand strap later, right-hand strap damaged. Brass screws. Four-fold black leather bellows with gold star and circle papers. Round end brass reeds, with circular pan label: 'Louis Lachenal, 8 Lit James' St, Bedford Row, London.'
