Rough oval paper label: 'C Wheatstone's Patent Concertina, London' (a wording never used by the Wheatstone firm). 6 ¼" diameter mahogany ends, pine backing, simple fretwork, flat, simple wood screws. 48 keys, ivory with black accidentals, stamped. Left-hand green leather strap, right-hand missing. Brass screws. Four-fold green leather bellows, white with unusual pattern of gold stars and circles. Round end brass reeds, circular pan label: 'Louis Lachenal, 8 Lit James St, Bedford Row.'
