Wheatstone, Inventor, 20 Conduit St., Regent St., London.' 7.06" x 9.56" eight-sided thick rosewood ends, 'stretched octagon' form. Simple fretwork, bevelled edge, white leather backing. 53 ivory buttons: 28 left-hand, 25 right-hand, with black accidentals, stamped. Black thumb straps with 0.75" brass screws. Four-fold green leather bellows, with gold star papers. 2 pairs of air valve apertures on rear lower bellows frames. Large brass reeds, some lead loaded, the tongues are double riveted onto thick brass beds, stamped with tonic sol-fa note names and screwed to underside of action board.
