Prototype double reed concertina. Anglo-German system. Serial number 102509. Label absent. 8.25" AF [across front?] x 10.12" long, stretched hexagon form. Flat rosewood ends, fully fretted, bevelled. 56 keys: left-hand 24 + 1 air, right-hand 30 + 1 air. Flat bone, in roughly four rows: two sets of Anglo rows an octave apart. Right-hand has six buttons on rods unconnected to any levers. Later black leather straps on Lachenal-stamped hand bars with brass screws. Six-fold black leather bellows. Round-end brass reeds, in pairs, some inset into centre of pan.
