Oval paper label: 'Lachenal & Co., Patent Concertina Manufacturers, London.' 7.56" AF [across front?] x 9.06" long - slightly 'stretched' hexagon shape, flat rosewood ends, simple frets, bevelled, white cloth backing. 48 keys: 24 each side. Silver capped nickel, bushed. Originally gilt embossed green leather straps with nickel screws. Six-fold green leather bellows, fully gilt embossed, with green/gold papers. Round-end steel reeds with brass reeds square ended screwed onto pan, brass valve flap, retaining wires and paper label: 'R Whitten for concertinas, 76 Upland Road, Barry Road, E Dulwhich.' Als [blank] mps on action including Bermondsey address.
