Oval inset nickel plaque: 'Lachenal & Co, patent concertina manufacturer, London,' and on left-hand inset nickel lozenge etched '50229.' 7.5" diameter raised ebony ends, 'New Model' style fretwork, left-hand damaged. 35 keys: 17 left-hand and 18 right-hand. Silver tipped nickel, bushed, much worn. Later leather straps, right-hand strap absent, screws absent. Eight-fold thick black leather bellows with three valve holes on each lower fold. Steel tongues, some loaded, on brass frames screwed onto separate chambers of various tuned sizes on the underside of the action.
