The bell decorated with deco floral designs and inscribed on the right side (from the player’s perspective): 'YAMAHA/ESTABLISHED IN 1887/JAPAN'. Laquered brass body. Felt padded keys. Mother-of-pearl effect touches. Rollered little finger keys. Plastic mouthpiece with a ligature secured by two screws and a metal reed cap all original. A similar screw secures the detachable neck at the socket at the top of the body. Two bows at the top of the body, which position the neck socket and neck below the top of the instrument. A flat stay connects the top of the main body section to the neck socket. The stay has the Yamaha tuning fork logo at its centre. Cork lapped tenon at mouthpiece receiver. Accessories comprise: (M47a-1993) plastic mouthpiece, (b) ligature, (c) reed, (d) reed cap, (e) case, (f) plastic bag with castors for case, (g) sling, (h) cork grease, (i) polishing cloth, (j) owner's manual, (k) pair of keys for case.
