'Boar's Head Brand' melodeon, German. No serial number. Embossed metal plaques on the pallet cover read: 'Campbell's Improved Melodion. 1876. Registered. Protected 1878. Sold only at 108 Trongate, Glasgow,' with two Boar's Head trademark plaques. The tops of the three stops are embossed 'C & Co.' 13.5" x 6.5" diameter black stained wood ends, with seven tin 'trumpets' down each side. The pallet board and cover are silver embossed, the cover with eight metal-lined holes. Right-hand: 10 domed brass keys, 3 metal stops including a tremolo stop. Left-hand: two bass buttons, one air button. Fabric hand strap. None-fold metal-mounted bellows, central fold is thickest. With large gold star papers.
