Accordeon by Busson, Paris. Serial number 16. Oval stamp on right-hand: 'Busson Brevete Paris,' and a silver pained stamp: 'Steel Reeds.' 13.5" x 5.25" diameter rosewood veneer ends, floral marquetry, light purfling. Left-hand has fancy brass spoon air valve, two articulated brass bass valves. Four brass reeds on hand frame. Right-hand has 19 square pearl keys (10 outer row, 9 inner row), two brass palm leavers (cage absent) and 21 pearl pallets. Six-fold green leather-edged bellows with gaudy papers. Brass beds, tapered steel reeds with single rivet. Pan label in pencil: 16.
