Anglo-German system. No serial number. Oval brass plaque clipped and soldered to end: 'FF Hess Patent Metall-concertina no.74,' with 'FFH' monogram and coat of arms. Rectangular brass plate beneath hand bar: 'No.5693, registered June 29th 1875, London,' with British coat of arms.
7.44" diameter flat mahogany slab ends with action all on outside, reed plates on inner side.
21 keys: 10 each side + 1 air, domed brass, direct on lever ends, all exposed.
Brown leather straps with one brass securing clip.
Eight-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers.
Reeds riveted to single reed plates.
