Melodeon, Italian. No serial number. Inset glazed panel covers a fancy coloured and gilded label: 'Premiata Fabbrica di Armoniche, Cesare Pancotti di Antonio, Macerate, Marche-Italia.' 11.25" x 6.25" diameter, curved metal corners, rosewood veneer ends, with plentiful Tunbridge-ware inlays, and fretted pallet cover. Right-hand: two rows of pearl-tipped wooden levers (11 outer, 10 inner) with curved, fretted and inlaid pallet cover. Left-hand: 8 pearl-tipped bass keys in 2 rows, plus wooden air lever. Left-hand panel has four brass feet. Later leather straps. Sixteen-fold bellows, metal corners, leather cloth edged.
