Oval paper label: 'J Hoyland, Musical Instrument Manufacturer, 23 & 25 Bow St, and 21 Exchange St, Sheffield.' 6.25" diameter flat mahogany ends, simple frets, red leather cloth backing, stamped on right-hand in gold: 'J Hoyland, Bow St, Sheffield.' 21 keys: 10 each side + 1 air. Broad flat bone. Later leather straps, one brass screw. Right-hand bar stamped 'Steel Reeds' and 'Lachenal Trademark.' Five-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers, top of left and right bellows frame gilt stamped '6' (concertina band instrument number). Round-end steel reeds.
