Wheatstone, Inventor, 20 Conduit St., Regent St., London.' Signed and dated 'Rock Chidley, 1848' under the baffles. 6.19" diameter ivory ends and sides. Simple fretwork, flat. 48 ivory buttons, capped with silver gilt, bushed. Black leather straps, probably later, with floral engraving on their silver gilt screws. Four-fold green leather bellows, green and gold papers, possibly later. Round-end brass and steel reeds.
