Taxidermy case of three adult male and two adult female varieties of Chaffinch (one variety male missing). According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male, April 1885; middle (no 2): variety male, November 22nd 1880; top left (no 3): variety male, February 1866; middle right (no 4): adult female, April 1885; bottom right (no 5): variety female, December 25th 1879. Sexes differ, summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
