The Museum will close 5-5.30pm on Thursday 6 March to prepare for the Late. The Gardens will close at 5.30pm.
Large, rectangular cassava grater made of wood and inserted stones, overall painted in red, and with patterns in black. The red pigment has faded. The upper face has a geometrical pattern on both short ends, framing the part where the stones were inserted. There is a turtle design in the center. The bottom face has geometrical patterns.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
