A pair of bound foot shoes with pointed toes for dancers. Upper of natural coloured cotton with gold couching in floral design. Vamp is of cream silk with embroidery at pointed toe, edged with woven ribbon and gold couching. The upper has a burnished metallic leather topline. Heel tab of pink cotton flanked with two black cotton loop handles. Lined with cream cotton. High wooden wedge-shaped heel which is smaller than the shoes, covered with cream cotton and with red paper sole.

Worn by a female or a male dancer who played a female role in Chinese opera.
