Rectangular tabby-woven jute textile decorated with multi-coloured stripes on a dark cream ground. The ends of the warp are braided at both shorter ends. The pattern consists of a panel and 2 different borders near the selvedges. The panel contains 2 repeats of a set of narrower stripes bordered, and separated by stripes of cream ground from a wider stripe itself framed by a set of narrower stripes. On one border the sets of stripes are wider and solidly coloured and framed by one or more thin stripes of contrasting colour. The other boder consists of a set of narrow stripes in all the colours used.
