Rectangular cream-coloured, tabby-woven cotton textile decorated with a painted centre panel surrounded by block printed borders in brown, black, yellow, and possibly a faded blue. The painted decoration consists of a standing moustachioed figure, possibly Reza Shah, surrounded by imagery suggesting an archway. To either side of the head is an Persian inscription which translates as 'Long live the Pahlavi dynasty!' . The block printed frame consists of 3 borders. At the top is an additional band above this containing a repeat floral motif with a drop shape at its centre. The outside edge is left plain, and appears to have been cut at top and bottom.
