case (toilet articles)

The lid of the wooden case for a bronze mirror. It has a circular shape with an integral rectangular projection for the handle, and fits over and outside the bottom part of the case. The case is covered in black lacquer all over, and is sprayed with roughly circular patches of gold lacquer on the inside. There is a small rectangular shadow on the outside of the case where an old label has fallen off.

There is a cream, rectangular label with the mirror and case, which reads: 'N/N. / Asia / Japan'.
