On the reverse in raised metal two characters, 'taka sago' at the centre,(the name of a song in a Noh play which is now often used to refer to a husband and wife. Two pine trees, two cranes, one standing in a pond, the other flying over a pine tree, with river and bamboo plants. 303 h inc handle x 205 dia.
