Long, tapestry-woven Coptic linen banding fragment in brown and cream. The textile is decorated with a chain linking nine medallions. Two medallions containing animals (hare and lion?) alternate with one containing a foliate motif. The links between the medallions are decorated with repeat leaf-shapes(?). The finer cream details appear to have been embroidered. At both shorter sides the final element of the chain consists of a half circle attached to a brown border. One of these ends in a selvedge. The longer side are bordered by narrow brown bands.
