The concave side has a clasp, while the convex side is elaborately embellished with details of a butterfly with scrolling antennae, slender body embellished with a stylised 'shou' character meaning longevity at the bottom, four broad wings decorated with details of phoenix feathers, and with two phoenix heads applied at the centre.
