Paddle club, from Tonga, of rhomboidal section and arched pointed head. The shaft bears a shallowly raised collar of two square ridges and tapers to a very slightly flared butt ornamented with a rectangular lug. The head end is decorated on one face with tavatava decoration and bears the remnants of a finely woven coconut fibre wrist loop. Mills' type A1. Dark wood.
