Basket made of a single wide leaf, which has been folded and joined to one another by stitching through with bamboo strips at each side of the basket thus formed, around a bamboo split which runs over the top of the basket, behind the folds and up again along each side of the basket, forming the handle. At each side, where the folds form the middle of the rim of the basket, they are reinforced and bound together by stitching of bamboo strip.

Collection Information

These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
