Dome-shaped lid of container made of ivory with a carved pomegranate knob mounted on flattened top with openwork scrolling flowers. The frame of the lid is constructed of eight segments from strips of ivory carved with floral designs, the spaces in between are filled by thin sheets of ivory. Each sheet has a finely pierced background of vertical strips, against which landscape with figures are carved in relief.
