Woodblock printed official notice, gaoshi, mounted on hanging scroll written in black ink on paper. This notice, to be hung on a city gate, announced a local official in Chongqing city, Sichuan province to be awarded a feather plume for his outstanding services, dated to the 2nd lunar month of the 20th year of the Guangxu reign period, 1894.
