Shallow metal plate decorated with an incised crest, featuring a castle on a shield, with a crowned lion and a unicorn or horse rampant on either side, and the motto 'AVANCEZ' written underneath. Three is another small round crest on the rim of the plate, with the motto 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE', which is the motto of the Order of the Garter. There is a partial maker's mark on the underside. The plate is very worn.
