Envelope labelled 'Nagoya Hotel. / Telephone No. 215 / Nagoya, Japan' , with handwritten notes reading 'for Harrison' (the curator of the Horniman Museum at the time, Dr Herbert Spencer Harrison) and '10p seaweed sweets'. The notes are in the hand of Emslie Horniman. The envelope contains a paper packet, in which are pieces of printed paper that are tied in the middle, possibly with plant material.
