pipe (narcotics & intoxicants: smoking)

Tobacco pipe with a large, rounded bowl made from a dark brown wood with a strong, darker grain. The rim has a sheet of silver around it with an inscription to the front; 'To J.Y.W. Mac Alister from' with the signature 'Mark Twain' inscribed below. The end of the stem connection is also covered with silver, this has been stamped with the style name 'Morell Mackenzie'. The mouthpiece is dark and curves slightly. It also tapers towards the tip, with the tip having a broader rim.
