The base of a round, flat snuff box made from carved wood. Inside, it looks like a thin layer of turtle shell has been applied to the bottom, as well as being used to build up the side. The bottom of the base is carved with a diamond pattern, within each diamond are lines, which alternate in rows between straight and vertical and rippled and horizontal. There is a small white blank label stuck to the bottom.
