The Museum will close 5-5.30pm on Thursday 6 March to prepare for the Late. The Gardens will close at 5.30pm.

Documentation with object states that the grass-cutter is "carrying a bundle of freshly-cut grass. He cuts this every morning for the horses belonging to the officer and his family."
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
