Round, copper coin of ten cash, minted in the 'bingwu' year,1906, of the Guangxu reign period,1875-1908, of the Qing dynasty. On the obverse, a Chinese character 'zhi' meaning straight or upright, is inscribed at the centre, surrounded by four Chinese characters meaning 'the Great Qing copper coin' within a beaded circle. The upper half of the outer circle has Manchu inscriptions flanked by two Chinese characters, 'bingwu', denoting the year of production as 1906. On either side of the middle, from right to left, are two Chinese characters,'"hu bu' meaning Board of Revenue, and at the bottom there is a Chinese character for '10 Cash'. On the reverse is a curved, front-facing dragon amid cloud scrolls within a beaded circle, surrounded by an outer circle with the Chinese inscription 'Guangxu nian zao' above, which means made in the Guangxu reign period , and below, an English inscription 'Tai-Ching-Ti-Kuo copper coin' meaning the Great Qing Empire's copper coin.
