Selection of texts from the Qur'an written in black in on paper. Includes the beginning of the Qur’an, with the complete Surat al-Fatihah across two pages. The writing is contained within a border of black and gold. The papers are bound in a red leather folder with embossed decoration, some of which is picked out in gold. There is damage to the binding and a page has fallen out.
These objects are only a part of our collections, of which there are more than 350,000 objects. This information comes from our collections database.
