Wall hanging with two paintings, one above the other, the top one of a vase with flowers, the lower one of a man with a horse. The inscription on the right at the top of the painting reads: 乙酉年六月閩古余路加以指頭塗繪, which literally means ‘A finger painting by Yu Lu-Jia in June, year Yi-Yo’. The year Yi-Yo could be 1705, 1765, or 1825. The name ‘Yu Lu-Jia’ seems like a missionary’s Chinese name.The inscription on the left at the the bottom of the painting reads: 卅四年仲夏養賢余路加手指戲墨, meaning ‘A finger painting by both Yang- Xian and Yu Lu-Jia in the summer of the year thirty-four.’ Yang- Xian is the same artist as the one who painted nn8508 and nn8509. The year thirty-four might refer to either 1734 or 1834.
